Gus Hansen experienced an amazing year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only player to make it to the final game in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may recall one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen won a massive pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has made many tv poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest players in the world. While playing web poker, a different side of Hansen has been seen. He often competes in the 200/400 NL maximum buy-in of $40, 000. Gus usually buys in for the min of $16, 000 and gambles very poorly. He sits there waiting for a decent hand and then goes all in. I believe Hansen is a great poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is penniless, he has little or no reason to settle at the game with the min buy in.
