Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the western in an excellent game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that players compete with other players. By competing against the dealer, starting players don’t have to fret about any other, more advanced players taking their cash.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the fairly slow game pace, beginners should be able to take their time and strategize without having to make quick selections.
It’s also much simpler to play for a long time with basically a little amount of money after all, to lose, both of your hands has to be under each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the house is dealt seven cards face down.
A five card hand and a two card hand have to be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
