Caribbean Poker Protocols and Hints

Web poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variants on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier announcing "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players are given 5 cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s value is akin to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your wager goes immediately to the bank. After the wager is the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a figure in accordance with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
