Novice Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

[ English ]

Double-hand Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in a wonderful game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the house, not like most other poker games that players play with other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to fret about other, more advanced people taking their $$$$.

One more Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game play, novices will be able to take their time and strategize without having to make quick decisions.

It is also easier to gamble on for a long time with just a little bit of cash after all, to not win, both of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards faces showing and the casino receives seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
